At a glance
- No account and no login. The almanac is calculated on your phone, and your calendar stays on your phone.
- Sharing an event with friends is optional. Only an event you choose to share (its title, time, sticker and reminder), the name you give and an anonymous ID are stored on our server, so your friends’ phones can show it. You can delete all of it in Settings.
- Your settings stay on your device and are deleted with the app.
- Calendar access is optional. Events you stick on the calendar are saved in your own device calendar (iCloud, Google, Samsung…), so they sync the way that calendar does. Premium can also show birthdays from calendars you pick. Nothing goes through us.
- The free version may show ads from Google AdMob. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you see a consent form first. Premium removes every ad.
- Premium is a one-time purchase handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
Overview
ARAMI TECH LLC (“we”, “us”) makes 舊時 · The Good’o Time (the “App”), a Chinese almanac and tear-off calendar app for iOS and Android. The App has no user account and no login. Everything the App needs is calculated and stored on your device. The one exception is the optional feature for sharing an event with friends (section 5): only what you choose to share goes to our server, as described there.

Information we collect
Unless you share an event with friends, we collect no personal data. The App never asks for your email address, phone number or any other contact details. If you use sharing, see section 5 for exactly what is stored.
The App keeps the following on your device only, using the operating system’s standard app storage:
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings (language, theme, card colour, public-holiday regions, side calendars, reminder time, the calendar your events are saved to, the device calendars you ticked) | So the App looks the way you set it | Your phone only |
| Which sticker is pasted on which of your calendar events | So the App looks the way you set it | Your phone only |
| A flag recording whether Premium is unlocked | To hide ads and open Premium features | Your phone only |
| Almanac text for the next few weeks | So the home-screen widget can turn over at midnight without opening the App | Your phone only (app group storage); contains no personal information |
Calendar access
The App can read and write the calendars already on your device (for example calendars synced through iCloud, Google or Samsung). It asks the operating system for permission the first time you use a feature that needs it.
- Events you create in the App (an event with a sticker on a day or a time) are written to the device calendar you choose. They live in that calendar like any other event, sync wherever that calendar syncs, and can be edited or deleted there or in the App. The App keeps only a small local note of which sticker is pasted on which event.
- Imported birthdays and anniversaries (Premium): if you tick calendars to import from, the App reads event dates and titles for the day being shown and displays them on that day’s sheet. It does not modify those events.
- Nothing from your calendars is copied to a server; we have none. The App never shares calendar data with advertising SDKs.
- You can decline or revoke the permission at any time in your device Settings. The rest of the App continues to work; stickers and events simply cannot be saved.
Notifications
The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No push-notification service is used and no device token is sent anywhere.
Sharing
When you tap Share, the App draws an image on your device (that day’s sheet, or the card of an event you are creating, with its sticker, title and time) and hands it to the operating system’s share sheet. You choose where it goes. We do not see it.
Sharing an event with friends (optional)
When you tap Invite friends on an event, or join an event from a friend’s invite, the App signs in to our sharing service (hosted by Supabase in Singapore) with an anonymous ID; there is no password or email. The service then stores:
- the events you share: title, start and end, all-day flag, time zone, sticker and reminder;
- who is in each shared event and their answer (going, maybe, can’t go);
- the name you type for your friends to see;
- invite codes, which expire after 30 days.
Only people in the same shared event can see it. Events you do not share never leave your phone. A friend who joins gets a copy of the event in their own phone calendar. We use this data only to run the feature; it is never used for advertising or sold.
Deleting it: Settings → Sharing with friends → Delete sharing data removes your ID, your name and every event you shared from the server at once (copies already in friends’ phone calendars stay there). Removing a shared event in the App cancels it for everyone; leaving one removes you from it.
Sticker packs, and the copies prepared for WhatsApp and iMessage, are downloaded from our website arami.tech. Those downloads carry no personal information.
Advertising
The free version of the App may show advertisements served by Google AdMob. When ads are active, Google and its partners may collect or receive information such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location and ad-interaction data, to deliver and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have allowed this.
- That data is handled by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy.
- On iOS, personalised ads that use the advertising identifier are only possible if you allow it in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows a consent form before any ad is loaded, and you can change your choice later from Settings → Ad privacy options.
- Premium removes all ads, and the advertising SDK collects nothing for Premium users.
- If the App is released with advertising switched off, this section applies from the update in which ads are switched on.
In-app purchase
Premium is an optional one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. Purchases, receipts, refunds and the “Restore purchase” function are handled by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies. The App stores only a local flag indicating that Premium is active.
Children
The App is a general-audience calendar and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your region.
Your rights (EEA, UK and similar laws)
Unless you use sharing, we hold no personal data about you. If you do, you can erase it yourself at any time (section 5), or email us to access or export it. Your data lives on your device under your control; deleting the App deletes it. Where Google acts as a controller of advertising data, you may exercise your rights with Google and manage personalised-ad consent in your device settings and in the App’s ad-consent form.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not collect, sell or share personal information for our own purposes. Any collection connected with advertising is performed by Google as described above and is governed by Google’s policy. California residents can opt out of personalised advertising through device settings and the App’s ad-consent form.
Security
Data on your device is protected by your device’s own safeguards, such as its passcode and storage encryption. Shared events travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and are protected on the server by row-level access rules, so only members of an event can read it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by a new effective date above and, where appropriate, by a notice inside the App or in the store listing.
