Effective date: 17 October 2026

At a glance

  • No email/password sign-up is required. The almanac runs on your phone. Events you choose to share and usage statistics are sent to our services as described below.
  • Sharing an event with friends is optional. Only an event you choose to share (its title, time, sticker and reminder), the name you give and an anonymous ID are stored on our server, so your friends’ phones can show it. You can delete all of it in Settings.
  • Your settings stay on your device and are deleted with the app.
  • Calendar access is optional. Events you stick on the calendar are saved in your own device calendar (iCloud, Google, Samsung…), so they sync the way that calendar does. Premium can also show birthdays from calendars you pick. Only events you explicitly share are sent to our sharing service.
  • The free version may show ads from Google AdMob. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you see a consent form first. Premium removes every ad.
  • Premium is a one-time purchase handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.

Overview

ARAMI TECH LLC (“we”, “us”) makes 舊時 · Good Ol’ Days (the “App”), a Chinese almanac and tear-off calendar app for iOS and Android. Core almanac calculations and calendar access happen on your device. No email/password sign-up is required. Optional friend sharing uses an anonymous account on our Supabase service in Singapore. Usage statistics and advertising involve additional data described below.

Information we collect

We process optional shared-event data and usage statistics. The App does not ask for an email address or phone number to use its core features. Friend sharing uses a name you enter and an anonymous user ID (section 5).

Usage statistics

Usage statistics are enabled by default and can be switched off in Settings → About → Usage statistics. We send a randomly generated installation ID, platform, app version, selected language, region from the device locale (not GPS), Premium status, feature/action names, sticker-pack or product identifiers, and timestamps to our Supabase service. Examples include opening the app, using a feature, downloading a sticker pack and completing a purchase. These statistics do not include calendar titles, event text, your sharing name, email address or payment-card details.

We use these records to understand usage and improve the app. Switching statistics off stops new events being queued or sent; it does not erase records already sent. Deleting shared-event data is a separate operation and does not delete analytics records. Contact info@arami.tech about data requests. The current analytics implementation has no automatic expiry period; do not assume uninstalling the app deletes server records.

When your device connects to our website or service providers, the provider also receives connection information such as the IP address needed to serve the request. Downloading a sticker does not upload your calendar content.

The App keeps the following on your device only, using the operating system’s standard app storage:

DataWhyWhere it lives
Your settings (language, theme, card colour, public-holiday regions, side calendars, reminder time, the calendar your events are saved to, the device calendars you ticked)So the App looks the way you set itYour phone only
Which sticker is pasted on which of your calendar eventsSo the App looks the way you set itYour phone only
A flag recording whether Premium is unlockedTo hide ads and open Premium featuresYour phone only
Almanac text for the next few weeksSo the home-screen widget can turn over at midnight without opening the AppYour phone only (app group storage); contains no personal information
The local settings listed above stay on your device. Shared events and usage statistics are handled separately as described in this policy; uninstalling the App does not erase server records or your provider’s calendars.
3

Calendar access

The App can read and write the calendars already on your device (for example calendars synced through iCloud, Google or Samsung). It asks the operating system for permission the first time you use a feature that needs it.

  • Events you create in the App (an event with a sticker on a day or a time) are written to the device calendar you choose. They live in that calendar like any other event, sync wherever that calendar syncs, and can be edited or deleted there or in the App. The App keeps only a small local note of which sticker is pasted on which event.
  • Imported birthdays and anniversaries (Premium): if you tick calendars to import from, the App reads event dates and titles for the day being shown and displays them on that day’s sheet. It does not modify those events.
  • We do not upload calendar contents to our sharing service unless you explicitly share an event with friends; your calendar provider may sync them separately. The App never shares calendar data with advertising SDKs.
  • You can decline or revoke the permission at any time in your device Settings. The rest of the App continues to work; stickers and events simply cannot be saved.
4

Notifications

The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. No push-notification service is used and no device token is sent anywhere.

5

Sharing

When you tap Share, the App draws an image on your device (that day’s sheet, or the card of an event you are creating, with its sticker, title and time) and hands it to the operating system’s share sheet. You choose where it goes. We do not see it.

Sharing an event with friends (optional)

When you tap Invite friends on an event, or join an event from a friend’s invite, the App signs in to our sharing service (hosted by Supabase in Singapore) with an anonymous ID; there is no password or email. The service then stores:

  • the events you share: title, start and end, all-day flag, time zone, sticker and reminder;
  • who is in each shared event and their answer (going, maybe, can’t go);
  • the name you type for your friends to see;
  • invite codes, which expire after 30 days.

Members of the shared event can read it. Anyone holding a valid invitation code can also see an invitation preview, including the event title, time and organiser’s display name; keep invitation links private. Events you do not share are not uploaded to our sharing service; your calendar provider may still sync them under your own calendar settings. A friend who joins gets a copy of the event in their own phone calendar. We use this data only to run the feature; it is never used for advertising or sold.

Deleting it: Settings → Sharing with friends → Delete sharing data removes your ID, your name and every event you shared from the server at once (copies already in friends’ phone calendars stay there). Removing a shared event in the App cancels it for everyone; leaving one removes you from it.

Sticker packs, including versions for WhatsApp and iMessage, are downloaded from arami.tech. The hosting provider receives normal connection information; downloads do not include your calendar contents.

6

Advertising

The free version of the App may show advertisements served by Google AdMob. When ads are active, Google and its partners may collect or receive information such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location and ad-interaction data, to deliver and measure ads, including personalised ads where you have allowed this.

  • That data is handled by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • On iOS, personalised ads that use the advertising identifier are only possible if you allow it in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App shows a consent form before any ad is loaded, and you can change your choice later from Settings → Ad privacy options.
  • Premium removes all ads. The App skips ad initialisation when it recognises Premium access. Upgrading does not erase data previously collected by Google.
  • If the App is released with advertising switched off, this section applies from the update in which ads are switched on.
7

In-app purchase

Premium is an optional one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. Purchases, receipts, refunds and the “Restore purchase” function are handled by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies. The App stores purchase entitlements locally. With usage statistics enabled, a purchase action and product identifier may also be recorded as described in section 2; payment details are not included.

8

Children

The App is a general-audience calendar and is not directed at children. The App is not intended for children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your region. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@arami.tech.

9

Your rights (EEA, UK and similar laws)

For shared-event data, use the in-app deletion option described in section 5, or contact info@arami.tech about access, export or deletion requests. For usage records, see section 2; turning statistics off or uninstalling the App does not delete data already sent to the server. Device calendar entries may also remain with your calendar provider. You may manage advertising choices through device settings and the App’s ad-consent form, and contact Google about data it controls.

10

California (CCPA / CPRA)

We use the sharing and usage data described above to operate and improve the App. We do not sell shared-event content. Any collection connected with advertising is performed by Google as described above and is governed by Google’s policy. California residents can opt out of personalised advertising through device settings and the App’s ad-consent form.

11

Security

Data on your device is protected by your device’s own safeguards, such as its passcode and storage encryption. Shared events travel over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and are protected on the server by row-level access rules, with member access rules and a limited preview for people holding a valid invitation code.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by a new effective date above and, where appropriate, by a notice inside the App or in the store listing.
